The Dacians, Romanian’s ancestors are said to have been genuine masters of modelling, burning and painting the clay to create pottery, a tradition dating back 2000 years ago. The many ceramics vestiges found prove their mastery and confer value to this unique type of pottery. To now days the clay is burned using an ancient Roman oven!
The method and the technique used to create this unique type of pottery were passed on from father to son to nowadays. You’ll be introduced into this magic world by the famous pottery craftsman Tanase Cocean. You’ll learn how to prepare the clay, hand building, throwing and burning the clay.
